Emotional Support Dogs

bailey-and-rex

BaileyMy name is Bailey. I am a Cocker Spaniel. I am 5 years old. I don’t like it when my owner leaves me at home so I love to come to school. Sometimes I feel nervous when I am by myself, so I prefer to be around people.

I have lots of energy and I am a bit nosey – I love to get involved with everyone and everything! If you’d like a chat, you’ll probably find me in the English classroom as I love listening to the exciting discussions.

My favourite things are:

  • swimming in the sea
  • long walks in the park
  • being groomed
  • listening to stories

I do not like:

  • loud noises
  • routines
  • being told off

Targets:

To improve my learning, I will:

  • listen carefully to instructions
  • challenge myself to be braver when asked to try something new
  • build my confidence away from my mom
  • improve my maths skills especially counting

Pupils who I will work well with:

I am very energetic, so I like to work with children who are creative, confident and energetic and won’t find my attention seeking behaviour distracting.

My name is Rex. I am a Cocker Spaniel. I am 1 years old. I am very busy at the weekend working on a farm, so I love coming to school in the week to have a lovely rest.

I am so laid-back that some people think I’m a bit dopey – I’m not, but I do love to day-dream and often fall asleep in the middle of a lesson. If you’d like a cuddle, you will probably find me snoring in my basket in reception.

My favourite things are:

  • playing with my toys
  • playing all sports
  • reading books
  • having cuddles
  • being in a calm and safe place

I do not like:

  • loud noises
  • having to rush
  • having to clean my teeth

Targets:

To improve my learning, I will:

  • try really hard to stay awake in lessons
  • challenge myself to join in with all activities
  • improve my geography as I often get lost
  • learn to share my toys

Pupils who I will work well with:

I am a bit shy and sometimes sad so I like to work with children who are calm and kind and will give me a cuddle.
