This week we have been spreading the anti-bullying national message “United Against Bullying”.
We started Anti-Bullying Week off by celebrating Odd Socks Day, highlighting and celebrating what make us unique. In PSHE we explored how we could use The Diana Award’s ‘Stop, Speak and Support’ campaign to help us deal with incidents of bullying. Pupils openly discussed their experiences of bullying and understood the importance of being an Upstander to support those who are victims of bullying.
Recognising the devastating consequences of bullying, pupils created a display board – filling odd socks with positive affirmations which pupils can take when they are in need of some positivity. We’re so proud to see our pupils demonstrating kindness and tolerance every day.
